Confetti Mariposa
Happy Friday to you! I am SO glad its the weekend!
For a fun and playful Friday post I thought I'd share a little photo session we did a week or so ago.
I have had a lot of fun making these and had such a great time with Madeleine modelling the newest listing in my Etsy store, the Confetti Mariposa!
It is a pair of bright and playful butterfly wings filled with confetti pom poms, attached to an alligator clip so that it can be added to any outfit.
We just wandered around our little neighbourhood, got an "i-cream" and had such a fun afternoon taking photos of our little Mariposa!
Here's a few (okay okay, a LOT of) photos of our photo session, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

My Etsy store is Frozen....
Do you want to build a snowman? Come on lets go and play...
Oh my goodness, I know I'm late to the party, but how amazing is Frozen?
I wasn't so sure I was going to like it after the first ten minutes with so much sadness from the get go, but after the initial gloominess I just fell in love.
I found Anna to be entirely hilarious and not unlike Miss Madeleine with her mischievous ways.
But that blissful moment when Elsa sheds her dowdy dress and can be her true self in a dazzling shimmering gown, my creative "glitter thumb" practically leaps with glee!

Giant Confetti Filled Balloons for a very happy Monday!
Happy Monday!!
What did you get up to over the weekend? I hope you had a nice weekend.
I had much-needed acupuncture on Saturday for the first time in a year or so; then we had a sweet little Birthday Party to go to in the afternoon, and Sunday was a day of family Skype sessions and playing in the park.
And of playing with my new giant confetti-filled balloons!!
I have been selling these giant confetti-filled balloons for a few weeks without having had any time to actually photograph and list them properly.

meg-made Forget Me Knots
Which is now............officially shipped! Yayyy!
And in my "comedown" from uber-productivity, I am eager to restock the shelves of my Etsy store and get creative again in the kitchen too.
The first item on I wanted to make on my creative wish list is my "forget me knots".
I have struggled to find headbands that are feminine but not too girly and young.
I designed these headbands to be dainty, non-fussy, but still feminine.

Sunshine, lollipops and confetti
All of a sudden it feels like Spring has arrived in London, and I for one am thrilled to shake off the misery of winter and welcome the blue sky days! I am not taking any of the glorious sunshine for granted, but am revelling in its glory and feel almost immediately brighter and more optimistic.
I've been relying on outside sources to provide some colour in the past few weeks, with lots and lots of confetti in my living room!!!!
I've been making a whole lot of Confetti-filled balloons and then extending my confetti range in my Etsy shop to the most adorable little girls tutu's and hair bows.
Maddie has always been a good little model for me, but this is one campaign she was in love with! I was met with resistance trying to get her to take the tutu off, so I just let her play! She just loved playing with all the little pom pons and had so much fun watching them bounce as she danced around!

Gender Reveal Party Confetti Filled Balloons
I've been totally surprised and thrilled by how popular confetti-filled balloons have been on my Etsy store. I first made confetti-filled balloons for Madeleine's 1st Birthday last year, and after being asked so much when I bought them from, decided to start selling them on my Etsy store. I'm not sure if you've seen my photos lately on Instagram, but I've been busy shipping some rather large orders to a few companies in the USA who are going to be selling them too, which is totally exciting!

A new but related product which I have been testing and re-testing has been confetti filled balloons for a Gender Reveal Party, and have now finally listed them on my store.

I kept testing different quality balloons in different colours until I thought I had found the winner. I had a lovely lady agree to test my potential winners, which worked out great, and she loved them..

And because I was/am impatient and didn't want to wait another month for another test phase, I posed for a photo myself - - and so I must add a disclaimer in right now - No, I am not pregnant! Even my Husband raised an eyebrow and asked if this was my way of telling him, but I am not pregnant, just impatient! And yes, I do have Globophobia...

But it was kind of fun pretending to be pregnant for five seconds, and if I am lucky enough to fall pregnant again, I'll be for sure using confetti-filled balloons to reveal whether Maddie would have a brother or sister. I think its such a fun way of involving friends and family in such a special moment in your lives.

Introducing....... Poppins!
A few weeks ago I introduced you to meggie, the brand dedicated to my kiddies range of accessories available on my Etsy store.
Today I want to introduce you to Poppins!
Poppins is the brand dedicated to my party supplies range, also available on my Etsy store.
When thinking about a name for my party range I drew my inspiration from my surroundings. One of my favourite parts of living in Hampstead in London is our proximity to my absolute favourite nanny, Mary Poppins. The authoress of the Mary Poppins books (P.L Travers) was an Australian lady who lived in London when she wrote the series of novels about the magical British nanny. There are many references to Hampstead in the movie, the most notable is the neighbouring house of the Banks family, the house of Admiral Boon.
This house, originally built by a neurotic ex-naval officer was built with two decks with cannons mounted all around to fire salutes on the King's birthday's. It was then the basis for Admiral's Boon house, and happens to be just around the corner from our house, so we feel the influence of supercalifragalisticexpeallidocious every day!
So in naming my range of balloons and other party decorations, I decided to go with Poppins, which also is obviously what happens with balloons and champagne, two key elements for a great party!!!
There's lots of fun confetti-filled balloons in many fun and beautiful colour combinations (or I accept custom orders to make the balloons fit perfectly for your next event)
And in honour of Admiral Boon, there's even a nautical themed bunch of balloons too!!
In addition to confetti-filled balloons there are also lots of seasonal party supplies, which changes regularly and includes items such as cake bunting toppers, food picks and lots of glitter!
There's a few exciting new products that are going to be released in February, and Im SUPER DOOPER excited about one of them, so will share that as soon as I can!!!
I love getting photos of little babies in their sweet little hair accessories, but would also love to see photos of your events decorated with confetti-filled balloons, so make sure you send them through too!!
Psst!! If you are looking for a little more meg-made, I'd LOVE for you to follow along!

Introducing....meggie
I mentioned in my Happy 2014 post that I have lots of things planned for meg-made this year, and I wanted to introduce you to the branches of meg-made first up!
I've had my Etsy store "meg-made" up and running since April last year and in this time have developed two fairly distinct sections to my store. The first section is filled with headbands, hair clips and aprons, all for adorable little kiddies. The second section is where I've been selling confetti-filled balloons, food picks and cake buntings. I decided that I wanted to name these two branches separately and so set about coming up with a brand for them both.
I want to introduce you firstly to meggie...
The name is the combination of mine and my daughters' name and therefore is near and dear to my heart. I wanted meggie to be young, fun and intrinsic to meg-made.
I've had a lot of fun designing a few new products to launch the meggie range. I can't help but design for what I know, and so now that headbands are more difficult to place (and keep) on an 18 month old, I'm all about the clips!

I have kept some of the headbands though, as I still think they are completely adorable for the willing and still baby!!
And I still love the little kids aprons, so they'll be sticking around too!!

Later in the week I'll introduce you to my party range, but for now, I have a very active toddler wanting some attention!!! Thanks for allowing me to introduce you to meggie!
Have a lovely week!
